Nouvelle brillante saison en Honneur de Bourgogne terminée sans aucune défaite et encore une victoire sur DOLE en finale Bourgogne\/Franche-Comté (3-1 et 1-1).<\/span><\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n

En poule finale, après un excellent départ contre ANNECY (3-2) et VICHY (6-0), les forgerons craquent à PARIS devant MAISONS-ALFORT, où ils subissent leur plus sévère défaite enregistrée depuis quatre ans (1-5). Cette contre performance brise l’euphorie du groupe qui va subir trois nouvelles défaites face à REIMS (1-2), MERLEBACH (1-4) et STRASBOURG (1-3). En terminant 6ème du groupe B, le FCG dit adieu à son titre de champion de France.<\/span><\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n

Après l’épisode St ETIENNE en 1945, cette saison va permettre d’écrire les premières pages de la longue histoire entre le FC GUEUGNON et la Coupe de France. Les qualifications obtenues contre AIX (4-3) et VERSAILLES (4-1) en 32ème<\/sup> puis en 16ème<\/sup>, vont permettre aux  gueugnonnais, seuls amateurs encore en course avec Béthune, d’affronter les professionnels du SR COLMAR alors second du championnat de 2<\/span><\/span>ème<\/sup> division. La rencontre à lieu à Lyon, le 27 février.<\/span><\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n

La blessure de l’avant-centre Edmond CHURLET dès le début du match, des défaillances individuelles, notamment celle du gardien BONAMY et la maîtrise des alsaciens sont autant d’handicaps que ne sauront surmonter les poulains de PERPERE qui s’inclinent logiquement (0-3).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
